Food. The very thing that allows you to do all of the things that you want to do.
The pressures surrounding food - created by society, the fitness industry, the media and cultural beliefs have made food such a stressful experience. Those negative feelings and thoughts are significantly amplified anytime food is the focus point: a social gathering, event, birthday, and especially the holidays.
Right here is your safe place, your calm, your meaningful reminder that food is the root of your life, the your gas to your car, your energy to live. That is it, that is all. I am here as someone who has been there, who has lived it and who struggled for over a decade with her relationship with food. I wish I had this meditation and message then.
I am here as a reminder to you that you are not alone in your struggles + feelings and that hopefully this will help you navigate through maybe some challenging moments, to help bring some positive light to your stresses. Keep coming back to your breath, even during an overwhelming experience, as your breath is a big hug to you, to reminder you are safe, supported and that everything will be okay.
Remember food is not bad, it is not a monster or an enemy- it is simply fuel. Keep coming back to the meditation anytime you need some support to help navigate your relationship with food. Food freedom is powerful.
